Whirlpool Home Delivery Network
Delivery & Installation Policy
About Whirlpool Home Delivery Network
Congratulations on purchasing a Whirlpool Corporation product! Our family of brands includes Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, and Amana.
Certain retailers have engaged Whirlpool Home Delivery Network as an option for delivery and installation of Whirlpool Corporation products. Your purchasing transaction is still between you and the retailer, but Whirlpool Corporation and its network of authorized delivery and installation agents have been contracted to deliver your appliance directly to you. In this policy, we may refer to Whirlpool Corporation as “Whirlpool,” “we,” or “us.”
Available services
Your retailer’s checkout process will present the available options for delivery & installation of your new appliance, uninstallation of your old appliance, and haul away of your old appliance. Availability of these services may vary based on retailer, product type, and your location. For example, built-in appliances or appliances that require a gas connection may not be available for installation due to local regulations.
We may refuse delivery, installation or haul-away services for safety or other reasons, such as local laws or regulations. Delivery and installation policies and areas of service are subject to change.

Contacts and Communications
When you choose Whirlpool Home Delivery Network, your retailer may pass information to us about you, including your name, address, and contact information. You acknowledge that we and our delivery agents may contact you about your order and delivery status, including through automated / auto-dialed calls or messages. In particular, we may contact you to:
- Confirm details of your order and invite you to schedule delivery.
- Notify you when your appliance leaves our distribution center so you can anticipate estimated arrival (usually about 4 business days before delivery).
- Remind you of your upcoming delivery (usually the day before).
- Notify you when your product is about to arrive.
- Arrange rescheduling or adjustments to your delivery.
Scheduling
Depending on your delivery area, you may be able to select preferred delivery dates or time windows via the checkout experience or through an online scheduling portal. Delivery date requests are only requests, not confirmed delivery windows. We’ll contact you directly to finalize your delivery date and time.
Delivery dates that we provide are estimates and subject to change based on product availability, your location, and other factors. Deliveries may take up to two additional weeks for outlying areas.
If your order contains multiple products, products may be held until arrival of all products in a single delivery.
If we are unable to contact you to schedule your delivery after a reasonable number of attempts, your order may be subject to cancellation. If you have a scheduled delivery and are not available to, or do not, take delivery at the scheduled time, you may be subject to additional fees as determined by the retailer.
Preparing for Delivery
When you use Whirlpool Home Delivery Network for delivery and installation, we’ll supply the parts needed to get your appliance installed. If you’re installing yourself, you will need to make sure you have the right parts and hookups, or else purchase them separately.
Be sure to measure your home so your appliance fits through each hall and doorway and fits in your space. Installation fees include basic installation, but not things like new connections or cabinetry modifications.
To help make your delivery go smoothly:
Inspect your space
- Check for proper plumbing and correct water lines for products like washers, dishwashers or refrigerators with a water dispenser.
- Ensure there are nearby electrical outlets that fit your new appliance plug.
- If you do not have proper plumbing or outlets, installation may not be possible and installation fees will not be refunded.
- Deliveries above the 5th floor will only be made with a working elevator.
Map out a path of entry.
- Measure the width of each doorway, hallway and stairwell the product may pass through.
- If necessary, your delivery crew will remove your exterior doors (hinge pins) to gain access.
- Make sure the pathway is clear of personal items, including tables or furniture that may get in the way.
- We won’t remove interior doors, handrails, banisters, screen doors or any personal possessions.
Measure your cutout
- Measure height, width and depth of your space to ensure the dimensions of your product match.
- Some products will need some breathing room for venting, hookups and to allow doors to open:
- Measuring for a laundry space: Add 1" of space on the sides of and in between the washing machine and dryer. Add 6" in the back of both the washing machine and dryer for venting and hoses.
- Measuring for a refrigerator: add ½" on each side for venting.
- Cabinet modifications will not be made.
Arrival & installation
When your appliance is delivered, make sure you’re available to sign and inspect it to ensure you’re satisfied. If you’re not available, someone 18 years or older must be there to sign.
Inspect your appliance
Upon delivery, please inspect your products for any damage. If you see any issues, let your delivery crew know immediately. Do not accept a damaged product if you want to return or exchange it. Please refer to your retailer’s Return Policy for more information about returns and exchanges.
What to expect
Our delivery team will use coverings to protect finished floors. If you selected installation, we'll make sure your appliance starts and runs properly.
